Gabriella Lorere is the founding Chief Executive of the African Democracy and Governance Hub. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Maasai Mara University, a foundation that has shaped her people-centred approach to governance and civic leadership.

A well-known and respected community mobilizer, Gabriella has initiated and carried out numerous community projects that address the real and pressing needs of ordinary people. Her work spans grassroots organising, civic education, and participatory governance — bringing communities together to understand their rights and take an active role in shaping the decisions that affect their daily lives.

Gabriella is deeply passionate about democracy and its transformative power, particularly for those living in far-flung and remote areas who are too often overlooked and marginalised by formal governance structures. She believes that democratic governance must reach beyond capital cities and centres of power — that every individual, regardless of geography, deserves a voice and a stake in the future of their community and country.
