Promoting Democratic Principles

Advancing constitutional democracy, free and fair elections, and the rule of law as the foundation of governance across African states.

ADGH champions the foundational principles of constitutional democracy across Africa, working to ensure that free and fair elections, separation of powers, and the rule of law are upheld at every level of government. We engage with national electoral commissions, civil society, regional bodies, and community leaders to embed democratic norms in policy and everyday practice — aligned with the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance (ACDEG).
